BFI Programming Development Fund

Purpose: The Programming Development Fund supports programming initiatives of cultural significance, high profile and wide reach, encouraging curatorial ambition, achieving economies of scale and bringing films to audiences across the UK in a fresh and original way.

There are three funding strands:  

Strand 1 is designed to support the development costs of a project which requires feasibility, testing or piloting in advance of a full project proposal

Strand 2 is designed to support projects which have been fully developed and are ready for implementation.

Strand 3 is designed to support very large-scale projects.

Who can apply: Properly constituted organisations, including community interest companies, charities and trusts

Funding: Strand 1 Awards in the range of £5,000-£20,000; Strand 2 Awards in the range of £15,000-£150,000; Strand 3 Awards in the range of £150,000- £500,000.

Deadline: Applications can be made at any time. The fund is open until March 2017.
