Louise Bardgett

Alongside my project management skills, I work independently as a movement specialist, trainer and collaborative artist in learning and health based settings and have a particular interest in working with early years and older people on enquiry and partnership based initiatives.

I am also part of an artist collective, TheVERYidea, working collaboratively on larger-scale, outdoor programmes and specialist training with families and communities across the Midlands and beyond.  As a movement specialist, I am interested in seeing how children move and physically respond to spaces indoors and outdoors, with each other and with different provocations though a child-centred, visual and multi-sensory approach. I am passionate about the value of creative play and how environments (both indoors and outdoors) can be transformed to support curiosity and exploration, using open- ended, everyday and reworked materials.  As a trained Teaching Assistant, I work regularly in primary schools and deliver cross-curricular dance and ongoing curriculum support for teachers in regional school sports networks.

New to the region, I am delighted to be working as part of the Create Gloucestershire team as the Projects and Events Co-ordinator and making sure our programmes run as smoothly as possible. I am interested in finding new partnerships and collaborations in the arts and voluntary sectors.
