Sector feedback on priorities for arts development in Glos.

How can we enable the arts to thrive in Gloucestershire in the next 3 years?

We were so chuffed to welcome nearly 80 artists, educators, promoters, programmers and producers to our Open Space and launch event in October.  There was a mood of determined optimism as we discussed, debated and shared ideas about how to enable the arts to thrive in Gloucestershire.  A wide range of questions were raised during the day and we tried to capture as much as what was said with discussion notes which you can download below.  All the ideas and thinking are being fed into strateigc decisions about how to focus Create Gloucestershire in the next 3 years.

A follow up Open Space has been planned for April 13th 2012.  We are asking how you go about making a living in the creative industries in Gloucestershire? What would help to support you as you get started? What are the barriers you may face in getting to the next level? This event is a chance for students, young artists/creative people in Gloucestershire to meet up to discuss these questions and share ideas and thoughts about how things could be improved. The event is being co- hosted by PAC. PAC’s mission is to support emerging artists and inspire young audiences.
