“One of the best trainers/tutors I have ever listened to. Extremely knowledgeable, experienced and eloquent.” - Ben Symes, Artistic/Executive Director Cube Theatre.

Tough economic times force us all to look differently at where our income might come from in the future, and how we unlock investment. This briefing for arts and music practitioners and organisations will help you to do just that.

By the end of the training you’ll have:

  • learned about new and effective approaches to fundraising
  • identified potential income generation streams
  • learned about the skills, knowledge and approaches needed for success
  • gained confidence and ideas for securing new sources of funding

Who’s it for?

This event is for music and arts practitioners working with young people in Gloucestershire, and music practitioners working with young people in Swindon.

Who’s it delivered by?

The briefing is led by Elinor Eaton of Real Ideas Organisation (RIO), the Arts Council’s Bridge organisation for the South West. RIO delivers helpful and effective briefing sessions all around the South West, but most importantly has practical experience of helping schools and cultural organisations across the region to generate income for their work. Elinor herself is a succesful and highly regarded fundraiser who has worked for organisations such as the Theatre Royal Plymouth and a range of schools, charities and social enterprises.

The course is organised as a partnership between Create Gloucestershire, Make Music Gloucestershire, Make Music Swindon and Real Ideas Organisation.
