FREE TRAINING: INTRODUCTION TO PRIVATE FUNDRAISING

Free training course for staff, volunteers and Board members of arts and cultural organisations in Gloucestershire.

How do you develop relationships with donors?

This three-hour session will introduce you to the process, from making your case for support to looking after your donors longer-term.

This course will cover:

What is fundraising?
The fundraising cycle.
Individual giving & major donors.
Developing your case for support.
At the end of the afternoon you will have:

An understanding of how your passion for the arts is the first step to fundraising success.
The steps to follow when embarking on fundraising from individuals.
The tools to write a brilliant case for support.
Practice at asking for donations.
Shared ideas for cultivating, thanking and involving new donors.
 The trainer for the session is Hollie Smith-Charles who is currently working with Create Gloucestershire on a two-year project to boost skills and confidence in private fundraising across the county.  Hollie has a background in fundraising, mentoring and business development for creative organisations and has worked at Cheltenham Festivals and Birmingham Museums.
