JOB: PROJECT MANAGER, ARTS + CULTURAL COMMISSIONING

Are you passionate about the role arts and culture can play in building healthy lives and communities?

NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Create Gloucestershire are looking for an exceptional project manager to work with them and key local authority partners to realize a radical vision for how arts and culture are commissioned to improve health and well-being outcomes across Gloucestershire.

Gloucestershire is already recognised as one of the UK’s leading areas in promoting and commissioning art and culture with several successful programmes in place. This project will build on this initial success, embedding excellence in how arts and culture are commissioned by the NHS and ensuring equal access for all across the county.

The Project Manager role is pivotal- you will lead the day to day planning, development and delivery of this project, bringing key people together across the arts and health sectors to develop thinking, practice and a range of materials.  This is as much about supporting the arts and cultural sector to be “commission ready” as it is about developing appropriate commissioning strategies within the NHS and the Local Authority.

We are looking for an individual who can influence a range of stakeholders in the arts, health and Local Authority sectors. You will need to be a motivated and an experienced change manager with a clear commitment to improving outcomes for individuals and communities in Gloucestershire.

This post is offered as an 18 month freelance contract. The fee is fixed at £35,000 inclusive of VAT and expenses. We anticipate the post holder will work approximately 3 days a week. The post will be jointly managed by Create Gloucestershire and NHS Gloucestershire CCG. The post will be based at Sanger House, Gloucester Business Park.
