Cheltenham Lit Fest: art wall commission

Cheltenham Literature Festival takes place 2-11 Oct 2015 with over 140,000 tickets sold every year. For 2015 we are creating an art wall in Montpellier Gardens with the festival theme ‘Defining Moments’ and are looking to commission artists who are comfortable working on a large scale. Street, graffiti and stencil artists welcome as well as artists working in other styles on a large scale. Commissions range from £200- £2000 depending on size of work. The wall is 2.44m high and artwork needs to be a minimum of 3.66m wide as the wall is built in panel sections of this width.

We have a selection of images and topics as starting points which include To Kill a Mockingbird and T. S. Eliot poetry.

All work needs to be suitable for an audience of a broad age range and will be displayed in Montpellier Gardens for the duration of the festival. Work must be completed between Sun 27 Sept and Thur 1 Oct. For more information please contact christina.poulton@cheltenhamfestivals.com with examples of previous work.
