School Workshop Leaders wanted by The Cheltenham Trust

The Cheltenham Trust is looking for School Workshop Leaders to assist the delivery of the popular learning programme at The Wilson. This role will support the delivery of history and art topics both on site at The Wilson and off site in schools. History workshops are delivered to school groups of Key Stages 1 – 4 and vary in historical content from Stone Age through to early Twentieth Century. The learning programme at the art gallery and museum takes full advantage of the rich collections held by The Wilson, plus a handling collection as part of the Museum Takeaway, a museum loans service.

This role is ad hoc in nature depending on schools bookings but the right candidate may be asked to deliver up to two sessions a week.

Full training of the learning programme will be provided and freelance staff will be monitored and regularly evaluated.

The School Workshop leader will be trained by the Formal Learning Team Leader at The Wilson but candidates will be expected to come with a solid understanding of British history.

For further information and a list of essential skills and knowledge, please contact Sophie Williams or Kim Hill for a copy of the role description via learning@cheltenhamtrust.org.uk or 01242 775702.
