Festivals Internship with Cheltenham Festivals
6 month contract
30 hours per week to include some evenings and weekends
Salary £5.30 – £6.70 per hour (dependent on age)
Cheltenham Festivals is a leading cultural organisation with around 36 days of festivals of Literature, Jazz, Music and Science and a growing national reputation.
The Festivals Intern will sit within the central administrative team who provide administrative support across all departments of the organisation but in particular the programming, education and development teams. The Intern will be given training in both Artifax (event software) and Tessitura (CRM) databases in order to support the teams. Working collaboratively the administrative team ensure the smooth operational delivery of all 4 Festivals across the year.
We are looking for somebody who is well organised with excellent IT skills and who enjoys working with bespoke software. An interest in Arts & Science is desirable.
This paid internship has been created as part of the Creative Employment Programme, an Arts Council England fund to support the creation of traineeships, formal apprenticeship and paid internship opportunities in England for unemployed young people wishing to pursue a career in the arts and cultural sector. To be eligible to apply for a Creative Employment Programme funded internship you must be aged 18 to 24 years old at the time of applying and you must be registered as unemployed with Jobcentre Plus. These eligibility criteria have been approved by the Department of Work and Pensions.
