Sportivate year 7 - application window closes 10th July 2017

The programme gives 11 to 25 year olds who currently do not take part in sport or physical activity to have access to six to eight weeks’ of free or subsidised coaching in a range of sport and physical activity opportunities, with Sportivate able to fund the costs associated with activity – where that is facility hire, coaching costs, equipment, marketing etc. and when the Sportivate project has finished they will be supported to continue playing sport through on-going sessions in the community (an exit route).

Our Priority Areas for the funding:

·         Women and Girls

·         17-25s (a limited proportion will be allocated for 11-16 year olds which target other priorities)

·         NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training)

·         Disability and Inclusive groups

·         BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Groups)

All projects must be youth voice led; this means giving young people the change to help shape and design a Sportivate project for themselves and their peers, which will mean that young people across the county will have access to a wide range of places to go and things to do.

Applications for projects between Now – 15th September 2017 are now being Accepted.
