Create Gloucestershire Manifesto

Create Gloucestershire has published an initial manifesto for the arts in the county that we will be shaping as a document over the next few months. Olympic Torch Event 23rd May 2012 Cheltenham Racecourse

Eleanor Holliday and Nicholas Allan. Photograph by Fred Chance.Create Gloucestershire is delighted to be showcasing the work of the many groups in the county who ignite a creative flame in the hearts of children, young people and adults in a range of community groups.

Our Entertainment Programme will feature hundreds of performers sharing their flair in jazz, rock and folk music, and dance ranging from street to Cossack to wheelchair show dance, via a specially commissioned piece for the event.

Olympic Torch Event at the Cheltenham Racecourse on the 23rd May 2012

Create Gloucestershire is thrilled to be part of the Olympic Torch Event at the Cheltenham Racecourse on the 23rd May 2012.  

Join us for an afternoon of dance, music, theatre and circus programmed by Gloucestershire Dance, Gloucestershire Music Service, Cinderford Arts Space  and the Battle For The Winds Project.

Describe The Dream - by Dean Atta

We had our very own performance poet in residence for the Open Space for Young Artists, Students, and Graduates, Dean Atta, winner of the Spirit of London Award for ‘Achievement through the Arts’. As well as performing a couple of his eloquent and moving poems, Dean composed this at the end of the Open Space to sum up the afternoon.
