An event co-hosted by Create Gloucestershire and Parabola Arts Centre
We want to see exciting contemporary performance being created in and touring to all regions of the country.
Join us to discuss the new projects, networks and ideas that are enabling artists, venues and audiences to take creative risks together.
Building on the achievements of events such as 'Getting It Out There' at Lancaster University earlier this year and 'The Big Debate' about the future of regional theatres at the New Wolsey in 2011, we will hear from producers, artists, journalists and venues who are finding new ways to make creative risk-taking viable in the regions.
We will share and imagine innovative solutions for contemporary work in the regions. How can it be developed locally? What can we do to support touring? Where will we find the audience?
With provocations from Shelley Hastings, Associate Producer and Katie Roberts, Take Out Project Manager from Battersea Arts Centre's Collaborative Cook Ups, Andy Field from Forest Fringe Micro-Festivals, Mark Makin from House venue network, Emma Betteridge from Bristol Ferment, Emily Bull from The Audience Agency, Allegra Galvin from Future Audiences Now, Mark Brittain from Spektrix and more...
The provocations will be short, the rest is up to you. Join us to debate and discover how we can be risking together.
