Cheltenham Borough Council has commenced its trustee recruitment campaign for the provisionally named Cheltenham Leisure and Culture Trust. The Council is looking to appoint a board of 11 trustees, two of which will be CBC councillor nominated trustees.

When it is fully operational, the trust will take over the management and operation of some of Cheltenham's iconic cultural venues - Cheltenham Town Hall, Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum, Pittville Pump Room, as well as running Leisure@, the Prince of Wales Stadium, tourism and Cheltenham's Tourist Information Centre.

The role of the Board will be to develop and operate an independent and sustainable charitable enterprise which will continue to drive the quality, usage and income associated with some of Cheltenham’s most important cultural and recreational assets. The trust will be a high profile independent organisation with excellent potential to boost the economy and quality of life for those living, working, studying and visiting Cheltenham.
