Call out for Lead Organisation/s to grow new Cultural Education Partnerships

Create Gloucestershire members are on a mission to revolutionise cultural education across the county.  We want to improve the impact, profile, connectivity and sustainability of work with children and young people and are looking for a team of dynamic leaders to drive this forward.

Our new vision sets out the longer-term outcomes we want to achieve- it is not prescriptive in the sense of laying down a “one size fits all” leadership and delivery model but does make clear our aim to sustain and embed the fantastic practice that exists across the county as well as trigger new ways of working and thinking to respond to the immense challenges the sector is facing.  The imperative to collect robust data to both prove impact and improve future delivery, will underpin all activity- the “tried and tested” as well as the innovative and groundbreaking.

Our first step is to design, establish and grow a network of Cultural Education Partnerships who will be acatalyst for change in local communities across the county- their role is to identify, inspire and mobilise artists, cultural venues, teachers, youth workers, creative industries and youth led groups to offer excellent and meaningful opportunities for children and young people to learn and grow as audiences, participants, co-producers, leaders, entrepreneurs and apprentices.

We do not have a fixed number of partnerships in mind, but we do want to achieve a comprehensive geographical spread across the county, across artform and across ages 0-25 years.

This is not a ‘funded’ opportunity at this stage or a specific chance to bid for arts education projects.  However the new Cultural Education Partnerships will be given support by Create Gloucestershire to secure funding for their ideas and initiatives and be part of a new influential strategic forum to be set up with representatives from RIO, the SW Bridge organisation, ACESW, as well as other educational and regeneration networks in Gloucestershire.

If you are interested please dowload the information pack here and submit an Expression of Interest by 5pm 5th July.  Successful applicants will be invited to a networking meeting on the 15th July 2013 with members of the selection panel to identify opportunities for joint working and other synergies. Full bids will be requested by the 13th September 2013.
