Over the past two years Create Gloucestershire has worked with its members to develop new ways of collaborating with public service commissioners. As a way of generating new ideas, partnerships and projects, as well as diversifying income, it has proved to be fruitful and full of learning, with both sides facing a steep learning curve.

We were pleased to share these experiences with NCVO as part of the research for their Cultural Commissioning Programme. Create Gloucestershire is one of two case studies, along with Telford and Wrekin Music Education Hub. The study looks at the context of arts and culture in Gloucestershire, and some of the ways in which Create Gloucestershire and its members are working with a range of commissioners, including the Your Future project for people experiencing domestic violence. You can download the Create Gloucestershire case study here, and read more about NCVO's Cultural Commissioning Programme, including research, activities and advice, on their website here.
