Gloucestershire Cultural Commissioning Project - Survey for Arts & Culture Practitioners & Organisations

As you may know, in 2014 the Gloucestershire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, along with partners CREATE Gloucestershire, Gloucester City Council, Tewkesbury Borough Council and Forest of Dean District Council were chosen to be one of two pilot sites in England within the Arts Council funded Cultural Commissioning Programme - for more information about the Cultural Commissioning Programme, please click here.

The key aims of the pilot in Gloucestershire are to:

•             support arts and cultural organisations to engage in how the public sector commissions (buys) services

•             create awareness amongst public service commissioners of the potential for arts and culture to help deliver health and wellbeing outcomes

The pilot has so far identified lots of examples of existing practice in Gloucestershire, and we suspect there are many more practitioners, projects and organisations doing great work of which we are not yet aware. In order to develop a consistent and formalised commissioning process, we first need a clear understanding of the requirements and experiences of those of you in the arts and culture sector who are working (or would like to work) in this field of practice.

We are now calling on all Gloucestershire Arts & Culture Practitioners/ Organisations, who currently deliver any of their practice with the aim of supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing to share their experiences.  This includes social inclusion and inclusive education practice.

The link below will take you to a brief online survey which we would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete. If you don’t currently work in a health and wellbeing context but are interested in doing so in the future, please complete the survey accordingly

Arts & culture practitioner survey

Please complete the questionnaire by Friday 26th June 2015

Once the results of the survey have been collated we will be in touch with opportunities to hear feedback. We will also be planning a series of events where you can hear more about the project, and what it means for you in terms of future work opportunities.  More details to follow.
