Apply for 2017/18 Clore Fellowships
Closing date for applications is noon, 13 February, 2017
About the programme
The Clore Fellowship brings together some of the most creative and dynamic cultural leaders in the UK and beyond for a life-changing adventure - it is a personal and professional learning experience unlike any other. The Fellowship will support you to be the leader you have the potential to be, through in-depth learning tailored to your individual needs, aspirations and circumstances.
Give yourself the space and time to think, learn and do. Clore Fellows focus primarily on their leadership development for up to seven months whilst staying connected to their workplace. You benefit from a diverse peer group, access to experienced leaders, thinkers, entrepreneurs, artists, experts and extensive networks.
This is a learnt not a taught programme. It is action-orientated and practical. It is intellectually rigorous but not academic. It is intensive and challenging.
The structure of the programme
- Two fortnight-long residential leadership courses in Sep/Oct 2017 and Jun/Jul 2018
- An extended placement in the UK to gain practical insight into an organisation different from your own
- Bespoke learning opportunities and budget to spend on your leadership development
- Individually-selected training, mentoring and coaching
Thoughts about the programme
"I finish this year with improved skills and much more confidence in myself. I feel able now to take risks and try new things, and I’ve seen first-hand what it is possible to achieve. I’m ready to ditch long-held self-limiting beliefs and really do things differently.”
Ellen West, Royal Opera House, Clore Fellow 15/16
"I have learnt to accept who I am, to take my place. I have learnt not to be afraid of what I am capable of. I have thought deeply about my own values, my vision and mission as a cultural leader. I have really learnt to trust and follow my gut instincts. I am not afraid of setting my goals quite high and I am not afraid of failure, because failure is where the most learning takes place."
Ottilia Ördög, Beat Bazaar, Clore Fellow 15/16
The Clore Leadership Programme believes that leaders are change-makers.
They are defined by their behaviours and values, their decisions and actions. We welcome applications from all parts of the cultural community: from artists through to entrepreneurs and managers, from freelancers to those working in large institutions, from rural to metropolitan.
This year’s Clore Fellows come from all over the United Kingdom and as far afield as India, China, Mexico, South Africa, and Egypt. We actively encourage applications from people who are under-represented in cultural leadership such as ethnic minorities and disabled people.
The Fellowship Programme is generously supported by a range of funding partners. We aim to remove the economic barriers to participation as much as possible and most Fellowships are fully funded.
The deadline for all applications: is 12 noon, 13th February, 2017.
