Inclusive Community Training

Inclusive Community Training

3-hour practical workshop supported by online resources.

Training to improve skills, know-how and confidence in delivering sports-based and physical activity to disabled people. Throughout the training you will:

• Learn about practical tools to support inclusive delivery

• Explore creative ideas to support disabled people to take part in physical activity and sport

• Complete a workbook that will support your activity sessions after the course

• Learn about local opportunities for participants, leaders, volunteers and coaches in sport and physical activity

The course is aimed at non-traditional or less experienced sporting groups for example youth workers, volunteers, carers, healthcare professionals and community groups. Those working within sport specific environments will be signposted to the appropriate governing body who offer inclusion training. Those who attend the course must be actively working with disabled people, older adults or long term health conditions.

The workshops are a great opportunity for anyone working with those who may find it difficult to engage in physical activity, especially those with a disability of any age, older adults and those with long term health conditions. These workshops are available until the end of September 2017.
