Creative Music Assistant
Working closely alongside Malaki Patterson, our Creative Director, the role will provide administrative support for two exciting new programmes:
Gloucester Roundhouse Exchange: an exciting partnership between the famous London venue and three arts organisations in Gloucester including The Music Works.
Upsurge: our artist development programme, supporting some of the most inspiring emerging artists in Gloucestershire.
In addition, the role will operate as personal assistant to the Creative Director.
The Music Works is a Gloucestershire-based registered charity that transforms lives through music. We’re specialists in working with young people in challenging circumstances to help them reach their full potential in music, in learning and in life. We work with over 3,000 young people a year in schools and our three community rehearsal spaces in Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. We specialise in non-classical music – bands, technology and production, singing and songwriting, rap and beatboxing.
We are currently funded by a range of charitable and governmental bodies including Make Music Gloucestershire, the county’s music education hub, Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Youth Music.
