a-n Artists Bursaries 2018
Now in its sixth year, the programme has enabled artists to learn new skills, undertake mentoring, curatorial critique, travel within or outside of the UK to research, attend conferences, build networks or collaboration, or a combination of these things. a-n encourages innovative and ambitious thinking focused around what would make the most significant difference for you.
Recent recipients include: Lauren Curl who researched environmentally responsible screen printing in Mexico; Laura Napier who learned book-binding, letterpress and photopolymer etching skills in order to create a new artist’s book; Sogol Mabadi who traveled to Tehran to inform a new body of performance work; and Aidan Moesby who researched potential use of digital technology in developing works across different media.
a-n has awarded over £275,000 to over 330 artist members through these bursaries since 2013.
