If you are:

·       part of a theatre or dance company, 

·       a producer, actor, dancer, singer, circus performer, technician 

·       or studying drama/dance/performing arts

·       or recently graduated in any of these areas 

and interested in meeting others in the performing arts field in Gloucestershire then this event is for you.  

Hosted by the University of Gloucestershire and supported by Create Glos this is an informal opportunity to hear about opportunities on offer at UoG and get the latest news from around the county.

Who is it for?

Theatre, dance and performance companies, producers, actors, dancers, singers, circus performers, technicians, students and recent graduates in drama, dance or performing arts.

You may be experienced or just starting out - you may already have a passion for performing arts or just want to find out a bit more - all welcome. 

What will happen on the day?  You will:

·       find out what resources you can access at UoG (rehearsal space, student placements, professional development opportunities)

·       get updated about the new performing arts courses that are offered at UoG

·       take a tour of the new performing arts building and facilities at Oxstalls Campus, UoG 

·       find out what else is happening in the Create Gloucestershire network

·       meet and network with PA students and colleagues from UoG, as well as a range of professionals living and working in the performing arts sector in Glos 

We would also like to invite you to share with each other. Please come ready to:

·       share what you/your company are doing

·       share what you need/can offer/where to go for advice

About the hosts

This event is co-hosted by University of Gloucestershire (UoG) and Create Gloucestershire (CG).  CG supports the cultural and creative industries in Gloucestershire and introduces new people to arts, culture and creativity. We are keen to attract, support and develop the best and most diverse talent in Gloucestershire and we are delighted to partner with UoG to support their offer to current students and alumni as well as the wider Performing Arts sector in Gloucestershire. UoG offers full time undergraduate degrees in Dance and Drama & Performance Practice as well as a degree in Performing Arts which can be taken full or part-time and is actively seeking partnerships with the wider PA community in Gloucestershire.
