If so come along to Create Gloucestershire's Spring Pop Up event and find out more from our guest speakers, Mark Gale, Jules Ellison and Ruth Davey.
Mark Gale is the entrepreneur behind the M5 Gloucester Services. A former UK Social Entrepreneur of the Year Mark has pioneered community businesses and business community partnerships. Mark is also Chair of Fair Shares, the timebanking charity and Co-Operative Futures, the business support organisation for Gloucestershire.
Jules Ellison, Director Make It Studio Jules has recently opened Make It Studios in Stroud a creative workspace and structured as a Community Interest Company. Also a business adviser, educator and entrepreneur with over 15 years’ experience supporting the start-up and growth of social enterprises. Currently lecturing at Bath University she was the Third Sector Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Bristol. Julie is also an associate business adviser for Social Enterprise & Innovation Programme and is a Director of Catalyse Change CIC.
Ruth Davey from Look Again Look Again brings together Ruth Davey’s love of photography with 25 years’ experience of project management and facilitation, working with NGOs, international students, artists, inner city businesses, and regeneration organisations in London, West Africa and Bristol. She founded and ran artXchange in The Gambia and was a creative industry mentor for the Arts Council. Ruth has 10 years experience in running photography workshops, as well as being a professional, published and commissioned photographer in her own right.
Coffee will be available from 9.30 and there will be plenty of time for meeting and sharing with other people at the event. There will also be Q & A opportunities for each of the speakers and a chance to reflect on how what you have heard can impact on your own practice or organisation.
