Welfare Leader Opportunity - Gloucestershire Academy of Music

Our Welfare Leader will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of children on our Senior Course (week 1) and Junior Course (week 2), supervising the welfare team and working closely with the music staff.  You will oversee a programme of fun, recreational activities during the afternoons.

Our courses are being held at Wynstones School near Gloucester in safe, self-contained surroundings in beautiful countryside.  Residential children will be camping in the school grounds with catering provided by the on-site cook.  Some children on the junior course will attend mornings only.

The children will have a full programme of music rehearsals and workshops, with afternoons left free for recreational activities led or supervised by the welfare team.  The welfare team will be resident on-site, camping with the children.

The Welfare Leader will have at least 3-years experience of working with children and experience of line-management.  The position will require an enhanced DBS check and an up to date first aid qualification (or be willing to undergo first-aid training).
