Living from Art: Insights from 40 years as a printmaker and teacher
Living from Art Monthly meeting 17 October 6.30 - 8.00 at the Wilson Gallery.
Andrew was introduced to bookarts and letterpress printing at Leicester School of Printing in the late 1970’s and has been making books ever since. He has always taught part-time, most recently at the University of Gloucestershire, and has seen teaching as complementary to and supportive of his own practice.
He is joining us to share his ideas on balancing a range of work as an artist, the benefits to the artist of teaching others, and how to stay positive, curious and creative throughout a long career.
Living from Art helps all kinds of artists to earn the money they need to do the work they love. The monthly meetings offer refreshments, the chance to meet and talk to a diversity of other artists, as well as input from an expert speaker.
