CAP Trainee Opportunity for Artists
We’re looking for 5 Next Generation Carnival artists to train and learn ‘on the job’ with two community groups who’ll be part of the parade on 13 July 2019.
To meet its objectives, the CAP aims to select trainees representative of Gloucester’s diverse communities, including some with lived experience of disability. Download the expression of interest form for full criteria.
Trainee programme offer:
Training sessions with national Carnival specialists
Coaching in specific carnival skills and/or how to work in community settings (one traineeship will be focused specifically on structure making)
New contacts and potential opportunities through CAP partners
The commitment / fee:
£1,000 (inc. of local travel and expenses) for approximately 13-14 days, dependent on role, between 30 April and 29 July 2019. Key dates are outlined on the expression of interest form.
