Roma has years of experience of the voluntary sector, as a practitioner, in strategic development, and in governance. Her work primarily focused upon the criminal justice system, though for the last six years she has been working in the health sector and overseas development. Following on from this experience she is now the Chair of a Gloucestershire health charity. Her doctorate is in criminal justice and she has worked for the Council of Europe as a short-term expert on the humanitarian development of the Turkish penal system. Outside of work her interests lie in the creative arts in its many forms.
