We are delighted to continue our leadership conversations with Louise Emerson who is a business consultant in the cultural & charity sector. Louise was previously CEO of Cheltenham Festivals and Head of Commercial Strategy at the Natural History Museum. She is an accredited Coach/Mentor working with leaders and managers in the NHS, Media, Culture, Pharma sectors, as well as, entrepreneurs.

To get started with her Discover at Home Art Award Alice joined an art session with visual artist, Debbie Kersley. Alice then chose to do the ‘Imagining Age’ creative challenge which was devised in partnership with Age UK Glos. The challenge involves finding out about an older person and their chosen lockdown object and then imagining what they might look like.

Baroness Rennie Fritchie kicks off our exploration into leadership - with a story which is far from conventional.
Collaborating with the University of Gloucestershire fashion design course, ex students, lecturers and course leaders, ACP, Create Gloucestershire, Dressing for Medics, and Emma Willis we quickly mobilised an efficient and skilled set of volunteers who could cut, sew, pack and deliver garments to approved NHS standards and fit.

Read MoreIn March 2019, Gloucester Culture Trust launched the Creative Leadership Trainee Programme. The aim: to nurture the future creative leaders of today.
The programme has created four full-time, year-long jobs within four of Gloucester’s creative organisations, all of which are fully funded by the Creative Entrepreneurs strand of the city’s Great Place project. This area of our work, which we call JOLT, is about creating opportunities and a supportive space which enables people to work and make a living in the creatives industries, right here in Gloucester.
