I'm an Artist and Facilitator who loves working outdoors and using natural materials. I run Forest Bathing and Art Workshops which aim to increase wellbeing through connecting to nature and exploring our creativity.

I work for Art Shape, and other community organisations, as a Creative Health Facilitator and an Artist Tutor. I studied fine art, so love to turn my hand to any creative process, but I specialise in drawing, painting with natural inks, printmaking, journalling and natural forms sculpture.

My own practice flows between drawing, writing poetry, print and sculpture, and explores themes such as motherhood and connecting to the earth. I love to use a collaborative approach to designing experiences that build connection and community- such as my collaborative zines projects!

I believe that exploring creative play is a human instinct, a powerful vessel for reflection, personal growth and change.

David Seed is a visual artist craftsman who lives and works in Gloucester.

He has a degree in contemporary crafts from (Crewe and Alsager College of Higher Education, latterly Manchester Metropolitan University), as well as social work qualifications. David has a background in community arts and social care. He has taught life drawing and ceramics, facilitated arts sessions with youth groups, physical and learning disabled adults, young people (not in work, education, or training), and undertaken both private and community based commissioned projects.

David has made sculpture, been commissioned to make street art, built and painted pub signs, produced book and album covers, designed teeshirts, and sold paintings, drawings, and prints, and writes poetry and prose.

"My artwork explores the beauty of the landscape and creates connection with the environment we live in. I strive to reflect calmness and intensity of colour in my paintings."

I was first inspired to paint in the early 1990's at the start of my Structural Engineering Degree. As a Graduate Engineer I produced countless numbers of technical drawings of bridges and structures and discovered my passion for drawing. I found great enjoyment in using lines to create images and representations of objects. I also completed a degree in Psychology at the Open University.

Recently I found more time to dedicate to exploring painting and became deeply involved in art groups which helped me to reignite my love for drawing and painting. I was inspired through learning with other artists to use mixed media and experiment with technique.

I have been fortunate to be able to draw on my experience from structural technical drawings along with my interest in Psychology to help me with my painting. My paintings convey intensity of light and colour which evoke positive energy in the viewer as well as stimulate imagination and curiosity. I like bringing together strong colours and enhancing their values. I feel the purpose of my painting is to convey our connection with nature and bring it into awareness. My aim is to make people light up when they look at my painting and evoke sense of serenity.

I work from sketches and photographs and combine this information with emotional and visual recollection to create painting. My choice of scene is often inspired by walks and travels. I am versatile enough to deal equaly well with forests, moving and standing water, rocky mountains and architectural scene. In my paintings I want to share with observers calm and tranquility which I experience when being around water.

Tom is a 3D artist and illustrator born and raised in Cheltenham and specialises in the creation of 3D models for fabrication and visualisation.

He has worked on numerous large scale art installations such as a 60ft statue of the renowned artist Yayoi Kusama painting her iconic spots on the face of Harrod's on Oxford Street, as well as digitally sculpting a series of marine sculptures to be placed on the seabed for an underwater exhibition in the Great Barrier Reef.

He now runs Handy Creative Co. alongside his wife, Lizzy, where they conceptualise and adapt designs large and small for physical production. They are keen to get involved in any opportunities to create sculptures or installations for their local community in and around Gloucestershire.

Harriet Hughes lives and works in Gloucester’s rural creative scene. Using a diverse range of mediums, she explores production and labour using dolls as her primary image. By using the pasts advertisement narratives, beauty standards and gender roles, now seen as absurd, she satirises how the perception of self is continually exploited in order to produce profit.

Harriet is an experienced facilitator having managed youth programmes since 2023 and running a diverse range of workshops, talks and social events for young people and adults at various venues.

Harriet studied at Hereford College of Arts. In 2021 her work was shown as part of the Tate Collective’s digital display at the opening of Tate Britain’s ‘Life Between Islands’ show. Hughes is an artist in residence at The Wilson Museum and Gallery 2025-2026 and has been part of many projects including Hundred Heroines: Women in Photography Today, GAS projects, and SITE festival.
