Creative Talent

Change

720,000
CG has raised £720,000, distributed across the arts and cultural sector, since 2013 to support arts/culture/creativity to become 'every day for everyone'.
604
CG now has a network of 604 individuals and organisations representing an increasingly diverse, talented resource stretching across the county.
1700
CG has reached over 1700 children, young people and families through the Art of Libraries so far and worked with 23 artists/companies.

"I have watched many of my friends struggling to find a job in the arts, unable to continue to do something that they love. But as a result of CG's Creative Apprentice Programme I am not one of those people and I am so grateful for that!”.
- Laura Deave, Arts Admin Intern, Artspace Cinderford -
“Create Gloucestershire seems to truly offer a spirit of change, a feeling of optimism and that great achievements are possible in a time when so much feels impossible. Artists and organisations are more outward-looking, seizing new opportunities for entrepreneurship and brokering new alliances”.
- Gordon Scott, Prema Arts Centre -
“As always the level of critical debate, new perspective & gentle challenge you foster by your approach makes attending any of your events a real tonic for a jobbing arts bureaucrat.”
- Raj Patel, Relationship Manager, Arts Council South West -
"My recent exposure to commissioning based on an alternative context, informed by the place and relevance of arts and culture, has challenged me down to my commissioning roots!”
- Senior Commissioner, NHS Gloucestershire -
“Create Gloucestershire has delivered some excellent training opportunities that have helped me shape Flow Contemporary Arts into what it is now. One particular workshop enabled me to reflect in a positive useful way about what we could be doing in the arts. I realised we are NOT drowning, we are waving – we must celebrate what we have to offer and share it.”
