GATHER at The Hide for International Women's Day
Jo Harrison will give a presentation reflecting on her personal experience building a career in the art world and how it has been impacted by her gender and becoming a parent. This will include detailing her ongoing research project Repronomics, which examines the similarly exploitable conditions of social reproduction and cultural production, considered as 'labours of love' rather than real work that deserves real pay.
This will be followed by an introduction to The Art Working Parents Alliance, a UK based network for people working in the art world, co-founded with Hettie Judah in October 2022.
