Exploring Drawing

A fun and creative series of drawing workshops that will give you the opportunity to draw people and objects from life.

Mondays, 10am-2pm at the Art Shape studio in Brockworth March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st

You will develop your confidence in using drawing materials such as pencils, charcoals and pen and ink to create exciting lines and defining tones! We will also use chance prompts and newspaper articles to come up with new ideas for your work.

This employability course is free for people who are 19+ and live in Gloucestershire who meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Below a full level 2 in their education (5 GCSES or less)

  • Unemployed/low waged (below £20, 319 per annum)

Walled Garden Exploration

Join artist Allison Cockcroft for a creative exploration of the Museum in the Park's beautiful walled garden.

Tuesdays, 10.30am-12.30pm ast Museum in the Park, Stroud March 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, April 1st, and 8th

This class combines gentle nature connection practices with accessible art processes. Learn how to produce images directly from natural objects using cyanotype, mono-printing and relief casting to highlight the beauty that can be found in nature all around us. We will be spending time in the garden so please come prepared for some time outdoors.

3D Japanese Textiles

This course is dedicated to Japanese textiles. Whether you're a beginner or have some knowledge in this subject you will definitely find yourself.

Thursdays, 10am-2pm at the Art Shape studio, Brockworth March 6th, 13th, 20th

You will use Shibori - a dying technique - alongside Boro and Sashiko stitching techniques to create a three-dimensional Blue Whale.
