Call Out! Street Artist wanted to bring colour to Dursley

Dursley Town Council in collaboration with Rednock School are looking for a street/graffiti artist to inspire, guide and help a group of young people from Rednock School to transform two dreary bus shelters into bright, lovely spaces for the community to admire while they wait to catch the bus.

The Council are excited to be developing a new creative project to engage young people in our town. After running a competition with Rednock School, the Council selected two winning designs that now need to be developed further with a group of students to create eye catching and professional designs.

We are wishing to give a voice to young people who have said there is no colour in the town and develop creative skills by working alongside a professional street/mural/graffiti artist.

The project will be extracurricular and completed outside the normal school day with a small group (10-15) of students ages 11-17 years. We would like the successful artist to teach the group how to tackle a public piece of work, through collaboration and executing the final designs to a high standard, from plan into scaled final pieces.
