*Sanjeev Bhaskar* - announced as Guest Speaker at Unreflected Reflections 2.0

We are really excited to share that Sanjeev Bhaskar will be the guest speaker for the launch of the new film, ā€˜Pioneering Glimpsesā€™ On Monday 6th November at The Friendship Cafe

Pioneering Glimpses, follows Unreflected Reflections which shared and celebrated some experiences and stories of members from the Muslim community in Gloucester through film and photography.

Pioneering Glimpses is a new short documentary, which delves a bit deeper into the early community members who share stories from the 50's and 60's which unearths experiences, struggles and joys of that period in time.

And we are delighted that Sanjeev Bhaskar will be supporting us at the launch event. He will talking about his career and how he got started.

A bit more about Sanjeev - he is an actor, writer and presenter.  He first came to notice in the groundbreaking television comedy sketch show Goodness Gracious Me, and the Emmy and Peabody award winning, The Kumarā€™s at Number 42, both of which he wrote and appeared in. His other TV credits include The Indian Doctor, Dr Who, Midsomer Murders, Horrible Histories and The Sandman (Netflix) and five series of Unforgotten (ITV) with series 6 filming in March 2024.

Sanjeev is also the current chancellor of the University of Sussex and an ambassador for UNICEF UK.  He was awarded an OBE in 2005.

His personal claim to fame is adding the word ā€˜chuddiesā€™ to the Oxford English Dictionary.
