Calling Poets in GLOS: Poetry Cares care home residency
As part of our Poetry Cares programme, sharing poetry with people living with dementia, we’re running a free half day training session for local poets. We’re also inviting applications for a poet-in-residence at a care home in Stroud:
Poetry Cares care home residency
We are seeking a poet-in-residence to deliver six weekly sessions at a care home in Stroud as part of the Poetry Cares programme in July and August 2025. The fee for the residency is £1,500 and the deadline for applications is midnight, Sunday 25th May.

Poetry Cares training
Free half day training for poets who want to acquire skills for working in Memory Cafes with people living with dementia. The training will take place in Longlevens Library in Gloucester on Tuesday 13th May 2-5pm. It will be followed by paid opportunities to deliver sessions at local Memory Cafés.
