Gloucester Folk Choir - Open Call!
An open to all choir singing folk songs from Britain and beyond.
Led by experienced and playful natural voice choir leader and folk singer Sorrel Wilde. All songs are taught by ear so beginners are welcome, and Sorrel believes that singing is a natural resource that no-one should be excluded from. Songs are varyingly challenging so suitable for more experienced singers also. We perform occasionally at local friendly events.
**Shanties, laments, a smattering of political (lefty) songs, seasonal songs and rounds.
**No need to read music.
**Develop your voice in a welcoming and non-judgemental space.
**Learn a set of brilliant folk songs to sing you through life.
**Discover a whole new set of friends and community.
**Perform at lovely local events and socialise with your new chums.
**Discover the healing/soothing power of singing with others.
