Victorian Sketch Club: Harvest in the Victorian kitchen
Welcome to the sketch club with a historic twist! Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to practicing artists. Explore mark-making, observation and visual storytelling inspired by the Victorian age. Guided by Operations Manager and artist Martha Kelsey, the session will take place in the Victorian Kitchen and feature a central still life composition of objects and ephemera arranged for our monthly theme.
This month’s theme is: Harvest in the Victorian kitchen.
Our sessions are relaxed and supportive. We’ll start with 30 minutes of drawing warmups, after which you are free to draw individually from the composition or elsewhere in the house. We’ll have top tips and suggestions if you’re not sure where to start!
Tea, coffee and materials are provided. You are also welcome to bring your own dry materials.
Please note, paints and charcoals are not permitted in the Museum.
Please book your place below, as spaces are limited.
