Applications open for Young Promoters
Interested in working in events but want more experience?
Our 20-week Young Promoters Programme helps you turn your passion for live events into a career. The Music Works is offering up to 15 young people the chance to take part. You’ll get training, mentoring, and real industry experience to build your confidence and learn the practical skills you need to work in events in the future.
What will you get?
- Training to understand how events and festivals work
- Live event experience
- An introduction into the planning process
- Event site visits
- Technical production workshops
- Mentoring and support from industry professionals & special guests
- £4,000 to produce own event event at the end of the programme
Who is it for?
- Anyone passionate about music, live events, or festivals
- Open to all levels of experience, you just need to be keen to get involved in events and learn more
- Gloucestershire residents aged 16-25
Date & Location
- The Young Promoters programme will meet every Tuesday and Thursday, 6–8pm.
- The programme runs for 20 weeks, from 20th January 2026 to the week starting 1st June 2026,
- at The Music Works – Gloucester Hub.
Programme dates:
- Applications open 31st October 2025
- Application deadline 2rd January 2026
- Programme induction 20th January 2026, 6-8pm
- Regular sessions Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-8pm
- The programme is free to attend if you are successful in getting a place.
