Artist Call Out - Stroud

Better Bus Stops Stroud – Bus Shelter Art

Stroud Town Council wants to make bus travel more appealing, starting with improving the experience of waiting at bus shelters. We’ve recently adopted nine bus shelters from Stroud District Council and are seeking local artists to create bus shelter art for eight of them, in collaboration with local schools and one community youth group.

  • Each of the bus shelters will be assigned to a local school(s)/community group & an artist based in the Stroud area.

  • Each artist will facilitate a workshop with the school(s)/community group to collaboratively design the bus shelter art with their allocated local school(s)/community group.

  • The bus shelter art should seek to bring the bus shelters to life through collaborative interpretation. Any political, racial or themes that incite violence are not accepted.

  • Each artist will then deliver the bus shelter art to their assigned bus shelter.
