Travelling Light looking for partners for touring work - for children and families
Travelling Light are planning a tour of their new show and creative offer: The Forest Door. This will tour to schools and community spaces in autumn 2027. They are keen to work with partners who want to build relationships with schools and family audiences. This could be venues, organisations or educational settings.
At this point they are looking for expressions of interest for the application and would want to hear from interested parties by 20th July.
The Forest Door is a new theatre offer for primary aged children (and their families), incorporating performance, interactive in-classroom activities, and support and resources for teachers and families.
Grown from the imaginations of young people – The Forest Door is based on ideas from local children who took part in the development in Bristol and Exeter.

They are also delighted to have receive funding to make a new play and performance experience: Wonder Baby. This will have a short pilot tour of Bristol and the surrounding areas in October 2026. The intention is to tour it more widely – hopefully in 2028. If any venues, organisations or settings would be interested in watching with intention to collaborate in 2028, please get in touch.
Using movement and clowning, Wonder Baby explores physical play and its regulatory impact alongside the joyful experience of creating spaces for families and children to play together differently.
Grown from the imaginations and experiences of babies, toddlers and their families – Wonder Baby was developed in collaboration with families who took part in the early development of the show.
For 0-3’s and their families.
