our members
Create Gloucestershire is a membership organisation.
That means we have a small group of Gloucestershire-based arts and cultural organisations that work together as a “governance backstop” holding us to account on our key policies such as diversity, and sharing information about the current state of the sector as part of an ongoing conversation with them, and with our wider network.
These relationships inform our bigger picture of the opportunities and challenges people are experiencing, helping us to represent Gloucestershire arts and culture, and shape creative collective action.
Our current members are listed below. Each year at our AGM they have an opportunity to renew their membership. We are exploring the option of inviting more organisations to join our membership - if this is something that would be of interest to you then sign up for our newsletter to be informed of future opportunities.
Membership history
Create Gloucestershire established
When Gloucestershire County Council withdrew its arts funding, Gloucestershire arts and cultural organisations pooled their final year of resources to establish Create Gloucestershire, with the purpose of working more collaboratively to increase opportunity, partnerships and knowledge sharing for the arts and cultural sector. Those organisations were our original members.
Membership open to all
We tested a model where membership was open to all interested organisations and individuals across the county.
Refreshed membership model
We refreshed our model and consolidated our membership to a smaller group of organisations with the capacity and commitment to work as engaged, supportive members. We continue to review and refine this model to ensure the most benefit for all.
