How do you live your values?
Most organisations have a vision, mission and values tucked away somewhere on their website. They describe the future we hope to see, and the role we want to play in shaping it.
But the real question is what those words do in practice.
Do they guide the choices we make?
Do they shape how we share power, listen and make decisions?
Do they help us navigate the complex situations that come with working for change?
At our recent team day we spent time refreshing CG’s vision, mission and values together. We wanted to make sure they are not just aspirational statements, but practical tools we can return to when making decisions about our work, partnerships and priorities.
None of us has a map for the years ahead. But these values can act as a compass - helping us stay grounded in what matters: creativity, connection, shared power and the voices of communities across Gloucestershire.
You can read the full set on the About page of our website. Over the coming months we’ll also share stories about how these values come to life in practice.
We’d love to hear what resonates with you.
