Poetry on Campus with Hannah Lowe and Stewart Carswell
You are warmly invited to a poetry reading by Costa award-winning poet Hannah Lowe and Stewart Carswell at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham on Thursday 13th November at 5.45pm.
Hannah was born in Essex to an Afro-Chinese father and White English mother. Her father’s death, when she was twenty-two, prompted her to begin writing and led to a wide range of literary investigations into the Chinese presence in the Caribbean, postwar migration to Britain, and of British multiculturalism. https://hannahlowe.me/
Stewart's soulful and delicate poetry is showcased in his collection Earthworks, which explores the connections between human relationships and historical landscapes, such as the Forest of Dean and Offa's Dyke in Gloucestershire. https://stewartcarswell.co.uk/
The event will take place in the chapel at FCH Campus, Cheltenham, GL50 4AZ on Thursday 13th November, 5.45pm-6.45pm, with the chance to have books signed and meet the poets afterwards.
Limited parking is available for £1.40 in the car parks off St Pauls Lane and St Pauls Road.
