Being Human - art exhibition at SVA in Stroud

You are warmly invited to visit our exhibition, Being Human, at Stroud Valleys Artspace (SVA).

The exhibition will showcase the creative talents of people with learning disabilities who are members of the Stroud Community Hub, part of Guideposts Trust.

Being Human goes beyond the universal human needs, wants and likes. It addresses the beliefs, hopes and wonders of the artists. Todd Carter, Guideposts’ resident philosopher-poet, whose works of prose will be in the exhibition, asks the question, “what does it mean to be good or evil, and are these two traits determined by nature or nurture?”. Another of the artists, Pete Stone, whose wonderfully unique bird drawings are part of the exhibition, believes that art can help make people feel happy.

Please join us to explore and discover more.

The exhibition runs from Friday 14 November to Saturday 22 November and is open Thursdays to Saturdays, 10am-4pm at Stroud Valleys Artspace, 4 John Street, Stroud GL5 2HA.
