Young Craft Maker Residency at New Brewery Arts Cirencester

12 month studio space and mentoring for emerging / early-career maker (under 25yrs) starting October 2025.

The residency will provide time and space within a creative, supportive environment to start to forge a sustainable craft career. The programme is open to makers of all craft disciplines. 

 
The yearlong residency will provide one artist-maker with a package comprising:   

  • A single studio space at New Brewery Arts, 24-hour access 

  • Business advice from New Brewery Arts team  

  • Monthly online one-to-one mentoring 

  • Access to office facilities  

Is it for you?

We’d love to hear from you if you are ready to take early steps into a craft-based career. 

Your practice can be in any craft discipline, but we are particularly keen to encourage makers whose work engages with/is rooted in: sustainability, environmental issues/climate emergency, circular economies, ethically sourced materials, social justice, activism, participation, community projects and social engagement, as well as makers working in heritage crafts. 

You should be available to start in the studio in Autumn 2025 (no later than the 31st October). 

You should be present at the studio for most of the time, and no fewer than 3 days each week 10am – 5pm (as a minimum – option to use the space longer hours and every day)

Applicants must be under 25 years old on the 1st of September 2025 and be currently fully eligible to live in the UK.
