Drawing with Zero Pressure (8-13 years)

  • Prema Arts Centre South Street Dursley, England, GL11 5SS United Kingdom (map)

One of the hardest aspects of life during and following the pandemic is the impact that the restrictions and subsequent expectations have had for young people. We know that drawing, mark-making and exploring a whole load of creative materials is an awesome way to unlock minds to new perspectives. And the most brilliant thing about art and creativity is that it’s never wrong or right.

Today we’re working with Abby Conway from The Project Pod who has devised a series of creative challenges to get your imaginations doing all manner of exciting twists and somersaults, as you discover a range of materials without any pre-defined drawing “destinations”.

This evening’s session is ideal for anyone aged between 8 and 13 who feels like their day-to-day is affected by anxiety and those who are struggling with a sense of pressure and others’ expectation. The session with Abby is all about zero-pressure.

The focus is on fun and savouring the moment. Ideal for creative minds and all levels of experience and perceived ability. We’d love to see you. Places are really limited so book good and early to avoid disappointment.
